Membership

Thank you for your interest in joining the Association for Talent Development's Connecticut Chapter! There are multiple ways to join the ATD Community, whichever way you decide to join us, we welcome you and look forward to getting to know you.

 Local Membership

Membership in the ATD CT Chapter is available on a 12-month rolling basis for annual dues of $70. 
There are three levels of national membership available on the National ATD site.

Why should you join ATD SCC / ATD CT?

  • - Meetings throughout the year for Members and guests, offering opportunities for networking and professional development.
  • - Discounted fees on all events. 
  • - Attend other New England area Chapter events at the Member rate.
   - New for 2025! The Talent and Development Professionals Book Club, a virtual book club that has six, free, one-hour, moderated reviews with the authors of books from our profession. 
There is a free 24/7 online forum, and a new book every two - three months. 
May to July: "Reset - How to Change What's Not Working" by Dan Heath.
  • LinkedIn Page that provides Chapter and talent development news, and a LinkedIn Discussion Group, which is a forum for asking questions, sparking conversation and sharing job leads throughout the year.
  • Communities of Practice (CoP) subgroups, which delve deeper into such topics as learning technologies and the role of 'big data' in talent development.
  • Learning Leader events, which foster networking for Chief Learning Officers to share ideas in a smaller environment.

Renewing Members

1. Log in. 

2. Click the View Profile link (your name might appear as the link). 

3. Click Renew. 

*** OR go to ATD's Membership levels page to upgrade to a Power Membership and get the benefits of National membership along with your ATD SCC / ATD CT benefits! ***

Renewing Member Notes: 

You are limited to renewing only one year ahead, or only within a certain number of days or months before your membership expires, so a notice of the next possible renewal date may appear in place of the Renew button. 

From your Profile page, you can perform a variety of self-service functions, including membership renewal and editing your email. 

Until payment is made, a Balance due notification will be shown on the notification bar, and a message will be displayed on your profile. 

A message will appear in the bottom right corner of your profile page if you have:  

  • unpaid invoices 
  • incomplete registrations 
  • lapsed or overdue membership 
  • or if the date is within a week of your renewal date
