Simple Strategies to Ensure

"Training Takes"

Presented by

Steve Gardiner

President, Gardiner Associates LLC

5:45 PM - Norwalk Inn

Ever worry if the training programs you develop and deliver stick?  Studies show that if lucky, maybe 30% is retained after a month!  According to a Bersin by Deloitte study, the typical employee in any given week only has 1% of their time available to devote to training.  In these days of heavy workload demands, it is essential that the skills taught in learning and development programs are applied on the job.

When time is precious, participants require easy, short skill reinforcement processes.

Join us when Steve Gardiner, our chapter’s former Programming Co-Chair, shares his 35 years of experience with us in creating Learning and Development follow-up systems.   Steve will reveal ways to:

Ø  Create mental mantras to reinforce skill usage

Ø  Coach "Jiminy Cricket" style

Ø  Establish communal commitments

Ø  Send 30 second, 2 question follow-up surveys

Ø  Build credibility with your "boss"

Ø  Buddy up for accountability

Ø  Hold 2-minute review meetings

Ø  Keep 48-hour commitments

Ø  Stop offering workshop that are "one and done"
